Rick Lancaster begins a verse-by-verse study of Paul’s first letter to the Thessalonians. After Timothy returns from visiting the Thessalonians, Paul writes a letter of encouragement, commending them for their faith and love. The Apostle Paul and his companions travelled to Thessalonica to share the gospel where no one had presented previously. Thessalonians gladly received the good news and were saved. After a short time, trouble drove Paul and his companions out of Thessalonica. After some time, Paul sent Timothy back to find out how they were doing. This letter is Paul’s response to hearing from Timothy upon his return. The primary theme of the book is living in the hope of Christ’s soon coming.
